In this post I’m going to teach you exactly how to kick your cold in 24 hours— because we all know that dreaded feeling of getting sick when you have one million and one things to do.

These tips and tricks to get rid of a cold fast actually work. I just recently used them when I came down with a cold after travelling. Incorporating all of these hacks helped me beat my sickness quickly and with ease, and I was back to feeling like myself in a day!

And the best part is, everything I mention in this post is natural, immune-boosting, and good for you. No over-the-counter cold medicine or prescriptions that only do harm to our health. So let’s get into it!

1. Colloidal Silver

Colloidal silver is made up of tiny bits of silver that are suspended in liquid. Its antibacterial, antiviral, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory. When ingested, the silver particles encounter bad bacteria, absorb through the cell wall and kills the bacteria— making it extremely effective at getting rid of your cold ASAP!

2. Oregano Oil

Whenever I start to feel a tickle in my throat, or a runny nose, I run to my oregano oil. Oregano oil is extracted from the leaves and flowers of the oregano plant, and is scientifically proven to relieve cold and flu symptoms.

Oregano oil contains a high concentration of carvacrol and thymol, which have powerful antiviral, antibacterial, and antifungal properties. Research shows that oregano oil kills viruses and bacteria by damaging their cell wall, membranes, and other critical intracellular structures.

I always recommend using oregano oil P73— which ensures your oregano oil is of the highest, most pure quality. Oregano oil P73 is made from organic, wild oregano, and goes through a steaming distillation process that helps the oil maintain its beneficial properties far better than other oregano oils on the market.

I use this oregano oil supplement for myself and my husband, and for my children, I use this kid-friendly oregano oil.

3. Fire Cider

An age-old folk remedy, called Fire Cider, is one of the best ways to ward off colds, flus, and other viruses.

Fire cider is an oxymel, which is an herbal preparation of raw honey and vinegar. The vinegar, honey, and herbs used to make fire cider contain potent anti-inflammatory, antifungal, antibacterial, and immune-boosting compounds. Fire cider reduces inflammation, contains powerful antioxidants, and has been used medicinally for thousands of years.

4. Elderberry Syrup

If you’re looking to kick your cold fast, then elderberry syrup is an essential! Elderberry syrup is an herbal extract made from the berries of the Sambucus tree. It’s loaded with vitamin C and potent antioxidants called anthocyanins, and contains the highest concentrations of antioxidants among all berries.

Hippocrates, the “Father of Medicine” referred to the Sambucus tree as his “medicine chest”. Studies show that consuming elderberry syrup can prevent and treat the common cold and flu– significantly reducing the duration and severity of illness.

5. Bone Broth

Bone broth is incredibly healing and soothing when sick. It’s rich in vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, and amino acids that support immune function, and boost gut health. The gut microbiome is directly linked to our immune function, so it’s super important to nurture our gut health in order to prevent or heal from a cold or flu.

But not all bone broth is created equally. By making a batch of bone broth from home, you can choose organic, grass-fed bones and high-quality water to ensure its high-quality and packed with healing compounds. Learn how to make a simple and easy homemade bone broth, here!

Plus, what’s better than chicken noodle soup when you’re not feeling well?
