Bread Dipping Herb Oil Recipe

This homemade herb oil recipe is savory and herbaceous, has the perfect amount of spice, and is irresistibly delicious lathered on a slice of warm bread!

Ingredients  

For the seasoning blend:

  • 6 tbsp dried oregano
  • 6 tbsp dried basil
  • 2 tbsp dried thyme
  • 2 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes optional
  • 2 tbsp black pepper freshly cracked
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 4 tsp sea salt

To serve:

  • 1/4 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 cup grated parmasan optional
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2 tsp seasoning blend

Instructions 

  1. Create your seasoning blend by combining oregano, basil, thyme, red pepper flakes, black pepper, onion powder, and sea salt in an airtight jar or container. Stir to combine seasonings.
  2. Seal and store seasoning blend for up to 6 months in the pantry.

To serve:

  1. To make your dipping oil, measure out 2 tsp of the seasoning blend into a serving bowl or plate.
  2. Add olive oil, grated parmesan, and minced garlic. Stir to combine.
  3. Serve with toasted bread, and enjoy!

Notes

Store leftover herb oil in an airtight jar or container in the fridge for up to a week.
